The decision to accelerate the decompression of the occupants of a Saturation System is a difficult one.
The Supervisor must be aware of their available options.

The process of an AED is discussed in the DMAC 31 Document. This is required reading. The principles of this are simple:
- There must be a real threat to life.
- The safest decompression schedule should be applied in line with the risk assessment.
- The company SOP’s must be applied.
- An increased ppO₂ & fluid intake should be maintained.
- It is inappropriate to subject a DMT with the same decompression needs to the AED.
